The Regional Archaeological Museum of the Community of Madrid is located in an emblematic building that was part of the university complex of Alcalá: the Dominican Convent School of the Mother of God. Founded and built from the seventeenth century, retains its baroque cloister and a majestic church, nowadays in the main exhibition space of the museum.

The Museum, inaugurated in 1999, gathers through its collection the archaeological history of the Community of Madrid, having special importance the remains coming from the old Complutum
